By Singapore's Best Don editorial team

A gyudon beef bowl with thin sliced beef and onions over rice

The best gyudon in Singapore on our data are Sukiya for a $4.90 medium and Yoshinoya for a $6.50 regular, both MUIS halal certified, followed by Waa Cow! for wagyu bowls from $22.90. Nine more places follow, from a $6.50 halal stall in Toa Payoh to a $68 A5 wagyu bowl in Bugis.

How we chose

We ranked places with a 2026 price and a clear gyudon or beef bowl first, then those with older sources, and we mixed chains, independents and premium bowls so you can compare each tier. Closed and unverified listings are left out. Gyunion is not ranked because its sources give two different prices, $7.90 and $11.50, and YukiDon, Gyudon Moo and Donburi no Tatsujin rest on 2024 and 2025 reviews. The price band is the shop's overall band in our directory: $ is a typical bowl under $12, $$ is $12 to $25 and $$$ is over $25. A ++ means service charge and GST are added. Data checked October 2026.

Chains, independents or wagyu?

Pick a chain when you want speed and a fixed price: Sukiya and Yoshinoya both sell a bowl for under $10 and both are halal certified. Pick an independent such as Ten Ten Otoko, Oiishii Corner or Kinobe for a coffeeshop price with a topping like onsen egg or wagyu. Pick wagyu when you want the beef to be the point, and expect to pay $22.90 or more at Waa Cow! and up to $68 at Standing Sushi Bar.
