
Tenya is a Japanese tendon chain founded in 1989 at the Yaesu shopping mall in Tokyo Station, with 146 stores across Japan according to its Singapore site. It is known for tempura bowls glazed in a sweet soy tendon tare. The first Singapore outlet opened at Orchard Central on 15 October 2020, and the chain now runs four outlets here: Orchard Central, ION Orchard, Parkway Parade and Hillion Mall. Bowls are priced as casual value meals, from about 10 dollars for the Tenya Tendon to around 17 dollars for seafood bowls, before service charge and GST.
